Back by popular demand, La Brune, South African family winemakers, and our esteemed suppliers, Davy’s Wine Merchants, return for another year of oenological discovery, delving into the nuanced flavours and aromas of five distinguished wines, paired with four scrumptious, filling canapés, all within the tranquil ambiance of our garden.

About La Brune:

La Brune, also known as brunette in French, was born from winemaker Nico Grobler’s passion for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, inspired by his close friend and vigneron Bruno Lorenzon of Domaine Lorenzon in Mercurey, Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy.

Located in the cool-climate region of the Elgin Valley, they focus on crafting wines that reflect the area’s distinctive terroir. With a commitment to minimal intervention and sustainable viticulture, their mission is to produce wines that remain authentic to their origin. “The Valley” Chardonnay exemplifies this philosophy, showcasing their dedication to selecting the finest fruit from a variety of vineyards across Elgin. The result is a wine that captures the unique character of the region. Refined and expressive, “The Valley” Chardonnay reflects the cool-climate conditions of Elgin and underscores the area’s potential for producing world-class Chardonnay.
