Our visual arts programme provides support and exhibition opportunities for visual artists. We have a dedicated exhibition space hosting a rolling programme of exhibitions, presenting contemporary works of art in a historic setting in the heart of St James’s.

Royal Society of British Artists the Rising Stars Exhibition

The Royal Over-Seas League is pleased to continue its long tradition of supporting emerging artistic talent through the Rising Stars Exhibition, presented in partnership with the Royal Society of British Artists. Showcasing early‑career artists who are developing ambitious and distinctive bodies of work, the exhibition offers them valuable professional visibility within the historic setting of St James’s. Members and their guests will encounter a vibrant range of contemporary practice, from detailed figurative studies to bold explorations of abstraction, all demonstrating the energy and individuality of artists refining their voices.

Our collaboration with the Royal Society of British Artists reflects a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation, complementing initiatives such as the RBA Rome Scholarship Programme. Many Rising Stars artists go on to exhibit widely, secure representation, and build sustainable careers.

ROSL members have the pleasure of discovering them at the beginning of that journey. Members and their guests are warmly invited to view the exhibition from 28 May, when it officially opens.
