Watch the city’s skyline ignite with colour as Bonfire Night returns to celebrate the historic events of 1605. Among the capital’s most beloved displays are Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival, Battersea Park Fireworks, and Wimbledon Park Fireworks, each offering a dazzling evening of pyrotechnics, live entertainment and seasonal treats.

Ravel and Fauré Concert with Fenella Humphreys and Martin Roscoe

Violinist Fenella Humphreys, winner of the 2023 and 2018 BBC Music Magazine Awards, and pianist Martin Roscoe, one of the most broadcast pianists on BBC radio, unite for a programme celebrating the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth. Featuring both of Ravel’s violin sonatas alongside works by Gabriel Fauré, Vaughan Williams and Lili Boulanger, some of the most influential 20th-century composers, this concert showcases two of Britain’s most distinguished musicians. Supported by the MMSOL Fund, the evening includes wine during the interval, with the option of a post-concert buffet dinner.

Spanning London’s most prestigious venues, from Southbank Centre and Barbican to Village Underground and Union Chapel, the EFG London Jazz Festival returns with an extraordinary line-up for its 2025 edition. The opening gala at Royal Festival Hall will see British conductor Guy Barker lead an ensemble of acclaimed soloists, while legendary vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater takes to the Barbican stage (15 November) and renowned drummer Nate Smith performs at KOKO Camden (16 November). Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Take Five initiative champions rising stars including Nubya Garcia and Tom Skinner.

Supported by the Regency String Quartet, the evening promises a luminous interpretation of Vivaldi’s timeless masterpieces. Tickets include a glass of champagne.
