About This Event

On Monday, 9 March, His Majesty The King, Head of the Commonwealth, and Her Majesty The Queen, along with Members of the Royal Family are expected once again to join UK and Commonwealth dignitaries, diplomatic representatives, members of the Commonwealth community and UK school children at the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration at Westminster Abbey.

In recent years, the celebration has been honoured by the participation of Nobel Laureates Kofi Annan, Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi, as well as UN Patron of Oceans, Lewis Pugh, and RCS Ambassador Anthony Joshua OBE, among others. Musical performances have included Joan Armatrading, Emeli Sande, Mica Paris, Nadine Benjamin MBE, RCS Ambassador Alexandra Burke, YolanDa Brown OBE DL, Craig David and the Rwandan National Ballet, Urukerereza.

Limited tickets are available for the celebration at Westminster Abbey. Tickets are not transferable or refundable. 

Official tickets from the organizers, will be issued a week before the celebration day.

Dress Code

The dress code for guests is lounge suit, day dress (with hats and gloves optional; a discreet fascinator is recommended, if hat worn) and national dress.
