A spring tasting devoted to Riesling’s refined expressions beckons, as esteemed wine experts Dr Enno Lippold, owner and winemaker of Dr. Lippold, and James Leach from ABS Wine Agencies guide you through a tasting journey, navigating their international pedigree through vineyards of remarkable provenance.

Dr Lippold, a revered grower in the Mosel Valley, is celebrated for his stewardship of the historic Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard. Since acquiring his first vines in the early 2000s, he has pursued a philosophy rooted in patience and precision, releasing wines only after years of maturation to reveal their full complexity. His wines, cultivated almost organically on the steep slopes above Ürzig, are acclaimed for their nuanced character and remarkable ageing potential, embodying the very essence of Mosel Riesling.

Joining him is James Leach from ABS Wine Agencies, whose career spans over 30 years across the UK and US wine industries. James has played an instrumental role in bringing Germany’s finest Rieslings to discerning palates through his work with ABS Wine Agencies and Jackson Nugent Vintners. His deep knowledge and passion for the grape shine through as he guides guests on a tasting that celebrates Riesling’s diversity, from Old World elegance to New World vibrancy.
