A refined midsummer tasting at the clubhouse celebrates Nyetimber, one of England’s most renowned sparkling wine producers.

In partnership with Nyetimber and Davy’s, Nyetimber Brand Ambassador Charles Lowe hosts a guided tasting that introduces the heritage, winemaking and character behind the house’s acclaimed cuvées, accompanied by a selection of finely crafted seasonal canapés.

Throughout the evening Charles Lowe shares the story behind Nyetimber. The estate first appeared in the Domesday Book in 1086, when the valley of Nitimbreha was recorded in English history. Its modern winemaking chapter began in 1988 when Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier were planted on the estate. In 2006 Eric Heerema became the Owner and Custodian of Nyetimber, recruiting Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs and Winemaker Brad Greatrix, who share the vision of crafting the finest English sparkling wines.

Nyetimber wines have since achieved international acclaim, winning international awards and blind-tasting competitions and being recognised by leading wine experts. Blanc de Blancs 2016 Magnum was awarded Champion Sparkling Wine, while Nyetimber was named Winery of the Year Great Britain 2025 at The Real Review Awards.

Spread across several sites in Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, Nyetimber’s vines grow in greensand and chalk soils on gentle south-facing slopes. Using only estate-grown grapes, the wines are crafted according to the traditional method and aged for extended periods to build complexity and flavour.

Within the elegant surroundings of the clubhouse, this tasting presents a celebration of summer flavours, winemaking tradition and thoughtful pairings that bring the character of Nyetimber’s sparkling wines to life.
