Our Patron
His Majesty King Charles III became Patron of the Royal Over-Seas League in May 2024.
Our first Royal Patron was HM King George V in 1916 and since that time, ROSL has had the honour of having the serving Monarch as Patron.
This relationship is underpinned by the formal support conferred by our Royal Charter, granted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1960 to mark ROSL’s 50th anniversary.
Central Council
The Royal Over-Seas League is governed through its Central Council, the equivalent to a board of directors, headed by our current Chairman, Helen Prince. Our Central Council operates in accordance with our Charter, rules and bye-laws.
Director General’s Office
The daily running of the organisation is led by the Director General, Dr Annette Prandzioch and her senior leadership team. The Director General’s Office focuses on the management, delivery of strategy and direction of the organisation along with engagement with external stakeholders and partners.

Dr Annette Prandzioch
Appointed Director General for the Royal Over-Seas League in 2020, Annette brings extensive experience and significant networks both in and beyond the Commonwealth.
A Barrister for 18 years by profession, Annette left legal practice to take up the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Royal Commonwealth Society, followed by a position at the newly founded International School for Government at King’s College London.
In 2018, Annette was elected a governing Master of the Bench of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, an Inn of Court with a worldwide membership.
Club Rules
On joining the Royal Over-Seas League, all members and their invited guests must agree and abide to the Club’s Rules & Dress Code. Members and their guests are requested to behave and dress in a manner consistent with the character and standing of the organisation.
