About ROSL

The Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) is a unique not for profit members’ organisation, dedicated to championing international friendship and understanding within the Commonwealth and beyond.

For over seventy years, ROSL has also proudly supported the careers of young musicians and artists in the Commonwealth and more recently Europe and USA, through a prestigious annual programme of competitions, scholarships, residencies, concerts and events.

Our Founder

The Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) was founded in 1910 as the vision of one man,
Sir Evelyn Wrench (1882-1966).

The Clubhouse

The Royal Over-Seas League boasts a trio of historic buildings, blended together over the past century to accommodate its unique clubhouse, Over-Seas House.

The Foundation

The ROSL Foundation (Charity no.306095)
was established on 1 January 1960 to mark our Golden Jubilee and to extend ROSL’s work across music and the arts.
